PerfectDisk 11 defrag — on the horizon

A fun day here at PerfectDisk land today – the pre-Alpha code for PerfectDisk 11 was distributed internally here this morning. More functionality without bloat. Backend and frontend improvements. Shinier and more intuitive, without a new learning curve required. Faster. More virtualization improvements. Desktops, laptops, production servers, Exchange servers and Windows Home Servers will benefit.

Okay, I’m biased. But your chance to see for yourselves is coming.

I know you’re asking…if PerfectDisk 10 is so great, why an 11? Well, we felt “a little extra push” was needed…

And here it is.

11 is on its way — stay tuned.

Ok, that video was funny. Seriously!
    I’m still laughing…

Might not make me buy PD11, but it sure proved that you have humor :-)

Actually, I’m still mostly happy with PD 8, although I haven’t tried it on the PC I upgraded to Win7. Anyway, you don’t seem to have upgrade pricings, which makes it hard to keep up with your release cycle ;-)

But I do love PD, and would never go back to MS std. defrag.
Or anything else not supporting offline defrag of system files (like your new PerfectSpeed, which kind of puzzles me).
It seems to me, that I very often need offline defrag, and the boottime penalty of doing it on every boot is too low, to go without.
Maybe I’m just a perfectionist, but I guess thats why I choose PD.

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for the comment. Glad you’re loving PerfectDisk 8, although I bet you’d love 10 (or 11!) even more. Here is some pricing from our web site: http://www.perfectdisk.com/products/home-perfectdisk10-professional/buy.

    Thanks,
    Joe

I agree with Richard about offline defrag, it would be good if you could offer “PerfectSpeed Pro” which could include the feature.
Running both PerfectDisk and PerfectSpeed together uses up too much ram.

    Hi Matthew,

Thanks for your comment. We are looking at this whole area of PerfectSpeed and PerfectDisk together.

    Thanks,
    Joe
